Me and my partner in crime (surigaobabe) was thinking on moving our blogs into a domain. We have so many positive as well as negative views upon discussing this issue. We have seen couple of blogs that converted from blogspot to domain. It makes me doubt to do it because we worked too hard on building trafic and backlinks for 3 months. I have 900,000 alexa here now and 25,000 technorati. If i would convert this into domain all of my hard-earned rank would be gone. In other hand, i am somewhat determined on switching this before google ranking time is coming. I say i still have months to do bloghopping, building alexa and technorati but i know the fact that it won't be as much as i have now. Absolutely, it takes too long to build good ranks. What if i this time i don't have pr again coz i don't meet the requirements of google? Confusing. I heard so many stories that google isn't fair for giving pr for even myself observed these. I have known so many blogs that don't amount anything, not much traffic, backlinks and not enough indexed pages but they are lucky they got pr3 and higher.
I would be lucky if i would change this blog to a domain and got pr next time. But i don't know, seems like my luck on pr is too far away from what i thought. Basically, my main reason from being hesitant on converting this into domain firstly, i am losing my chances whereas if i leave this alone, guaranted i have a good chance on getting pr.
Hay!..i'm just hallucinating things though. I don't know what to do yet. If you have any comment or advice please feel free to leave it.

I was on the same dilemma as you are right now. Though I have decided that I am going to keep my blog in blogspot because I have already put up some good links and backlinks. Also, I have decided to have my own domain for my next blog... IF I will be able to prove that I can maintain and earn through my personal blog. But, it's still on the planning stage... no final decisions yet.
As for you, if you really want to have your own domain, you should grab that oppurtunity right away. Kasi, like you've said, wala pang PR ang blog mo. I think you'll be able to gain those ranks that you've made and I guess, it'll be better because iba talaga ang may sariling domain. Plus, you can personalize your site in a lot of ways if you'll get a domain. You'll have more advantages. Sa simula lang siguro magkaproblema since you have started building traffic in your free-blog and already built ranks. I've seen a great improvement on my boyfriend's blog. You'll see on his header that he has personalized it already... though some functions are not yet operating because of his Host, it'll be as soon as makalipat siya. So just make sure you'll pick the right host and domain ^___^ Also, he came from blogspot then lumipat siya ng Wordpress (baleh murag giforward ra niya ang blog entries niya sa WP, k naa may ingana na function sa blogspot).
Anyway, those are just my opinion. It's better if you'll ask some of your free-blog blogger friends and those who have domains.

Sis, for me if you wanna get ur own domain just make a new blog. Kasi naman sayang din yong naumpisahan mo na mga traffic sa una mong blog. Ang hirap kaya magkuha nang mga traffic. Kaya nga now I made a new blog with own domain kasi ang una ko marami na traffic din if e-own domain ko balik naman ako sa first step na kuha mga traffic. Ako sayo make ur new blog nalang with own domain na. Alam mo agree ako sayo ang google grabi talaga sila di sila patas mag bigay nang PR marami ako nakita na blog na meron PR3 or more pero ang blog nila kulang nga sa update. At meron akong marami nakita na blog updated always at ang mga post informative talaga at di nila binigyan nang PR kahit 1 lang man. Iwan ko kung bakit kaya.
Ako bahala wala ko PR sis basta continue earnings ko kahit maliit lang kasi pag-ipunin natin ang maliit dadami na rin oneday. ha ha ha
