lighters left in airport

The last time when we were on our trip in PI, a friend of mine who went with us in our visit packed plenty of cigars like Swisher Sweets and couple of huge lighters as a present for his mom. Due to the fact the lighters are flammable and cannot be allowed on board he was forced to leave them behind in the airport. That time he wasted couple of dollars from buying them, not to mention they were a bit expensive since they are not just little bitty lighters we find in most stores. He thought those lighters were okay since husband took little lighter with him in his pocket, he should know better than that. So he come back home with only cigars for his mom--God thing she liked them though.
